A Molded Moon, Life within a Vase (2016) exhibited for the first time in Korea, this exceptional work draws on character interfaces representing the ideals of perfection and life’s many imperfect entrapments. Moving between a stage and a cave, with the Korean porcelain moon jar as latent motif and expanded geocosmic landscape, MOON & JEON address questions around beauty and militarism, metaphysics of evil and the indebted soul.
