The 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale (September 6 – November 30, 2014) opened on September 5. The Triennale is a meaningful international exhibition that introduces the most up-to-date trends in art and the continuous researches and art exchange programs of the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum. The Triennale presents paintings, sculptures, installations, and videos as well as organizes collaborative art-making, workshops, and talks by participating artists from all across Asia. This year the Triennale brings together more than 40 teams from 21 Asian regions/countries. Moreover, this year’s event, for the first time, includes an exchange exhibition with Yokohama Triennale 2014.
Through the Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale, Moon Kyungwon and Jeon Joonho will premiere Myohyangsangwan, a video work featuring a dreamlike episode that happens overnight in a North Korean restaurant located in Beijing, China.

55_후쿠오카트리엔날레 9.5
제 5회 후쿠오카 트리엔날레가(2014. 9. 6 ~ 11. 30)가 9. 5일 오픈 되었다. 후쿠오카 트리엔날레는 아시아의 근현대미술 전문기관으로 높이 평가받는 후쿠오카 아시아미술관의 연구 및 교류 성과를 담아내고 아시아미술의 최신 동향을 알리는 의미있는 미술전시이다. 아시아 각지의 회화, 조각, 인스톨레이션 작품, 영상 등을 전시하며 그 외에도 아티스트를 후쿠오카로 초청해 벌이는 공동제작과 워크숍, 갤러리토크 등이 함께 열린다. 5회째를 맞이하는 올해에는 아시아 21개 국가 및 지역에서 40여개 팀이 참가한다. 올해는 처음으로 요코하마시의 요코하마 트리엔날레 2014와 연계하여 교류 전시도 포함된다.
문경원. 전준호 작가는 후쿠오카 트리엔날레를 통해 베이징에 소재한 북한 식당을 소재로 하룻 밤 펼쳐지는 몽환적인 에피소드를 담은 ‘묘향산관’ 영상작품을 프리미어로 공개한다.
