Peter Weibel’s exhibition “GLOBAL-RENAISSANCE 2.0” opened in Germany at the ZKM Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. The subject of the exhibition, The New Art Event of the Digital Age, similar to the integration of science and art in the Renaissance, focuses on the revival of artificial intelligence and humanity’s evolution of diverse perspectives and themes of exo-evolution. The changes of technology and epistemology and systems of evolution are expressed in the artwork of Peter Weibel, Sabiha Keyif, Philip Ziegler, and curator Giulia Bini in this thematic exhibition. Artists MOON Kyungwon & JEON Joonho’s News from Nowhere collaborative project is working in conjunction with MVRDV in introducing artwork and perspectives about future cities. The side by side video projection briefly introduces a new image of a community in the form of an I-City. The News from Nowhere project itinerary and book is also a part of the exhibition. After the world ends, justice, systems and methods will have to begin again and all the things and objects humanity needs will have to be decided through the cooperation of experts and artists, whose societal role and aesthetic consciousness as indicated in News from Nowhere will be a part of the imagined future and new society and second Renaissance described by Peter Weibel.

피터바이벨이 기획한 “GLOBALE-RENAISSANCE 2.0”의 전시가 독일 칼스루헤의 미디어미술관 ZKM에서 오픈되었다.
미술사의 르네상스처럼 예술과 과학의 부흥이 가져오는 미래의 인공지능과 디지털 혁명이후(The New Art Event in the Digital Age) 인류 진화에 대한 다양한 시각을 엑소-진화라는 주제로 다양하게 구성하고 있다. 기술의 변화에 따른 인식론적 시스템의 진화와 예술을 설명하고있으며, 피터 바이벨과(Peter Weibel)과 함께 사비아 케이프(Sabiha Keyif), 필립 지글러(Philipp Ziegler), 줄리아 비니(Giulia Bini)의 코 큐레이팅으로Thematic exhibition으로 구성되었다.
문경원.전준호의 뉴스프럼 노웨어 프로젝트의 협업 작업중 MVRDV와 함께 미래의 도시에 대한 시각을 나눈 작업이 소개되었다. 세상의 저편 영상작업에도 잠시 등장하는 1인 도시 이자 새로운 공동체의 모습을 그려본 I-City와 뉴스프럼노웨어 프로젝트의 여정이 담긴 책이 전시되었다. 지구 종말 이후 의, 식, 주를 중심으로 새롭게 시작되는 인류에게 필요한 물건object을 다양한 분야의 전문가들과 협업하며 예술의 사회적 기능과 역할 그리고 미의식을 묻는 뉴스프럼노웨어 프로젝트는 피터 바이벨이 기획한 미래의 새로운 사회, 제2의 르네상스에 조우하며 그간의 담론을 소개하였다.
