Opening : 2016.6.3 ~ 6.4, Arsenal Contemporary Art
The ELEKTRA International Digital Art Biennale Opening Premiered in Montreal from June 3rd to June 4th in the year 2016. Every year, the city of Montreal hosts a nighttime venue of exhibitions, sound performances, modern dance, a jazz festival, and other various elaborate events. This coming year, Arsenale Contemporary Art with ATOMAMA’s exhibition machine for machine, will include several sites within the city, including a sound performance called Mutek and performances with ELECTRA and MAC, thus turning the city of Montreal into a city of theater.
Originally a shipyard, the Arsenale is a cutting edge space that displays video and kinetic art (from April 16th – July 3rd) and mechanical and sound performances that will take place on the opening of the Arsenale.
MOON Kyungwon and JEON Joonho’s entry in the Venice Biennale, The Ways of Folding Space and Flying, a four channel installation is featured at the Arsenale.

ELEKTRA International Digital Art Biennale
2016년 6월 3일~4일 캐나다 몬트리올에서 ELEKTRA라는 국제 디지털 아트 비엔날레의 오프닝이 전개되었다. 매년 몬트리올 도시 전역의 베뉴에서 전시, 사운드 퍼포먼스, 현대무용, 재즈페스티벌, 공연등의 화려하고 다양한 행사가 개최된다. 올 해는 machine for machine이라는 주제의 ATOMAMA전시가 Arsenal Contemporary Art와 도시내 몇 개의 사이트에서 보여졌고, Mutek이란 사운드 퍼포먼스와 공연이 ELEKTRA와 함께 MAC, 몬트리올 도시내 극장등에서 펼쳐졌다.
원래 조선소였던 아르세날레의 공간에는 최첨단의 메카니즘으로 구성된 영상 및 키네틱 아트들(기간 4.16 ~ 7.3)과 프로그래밍에 의한 기계적 퍼포먼스 및 사운드 퍼포먼스 가 3~4일 아르세날레에서 함께 화려하게 개막하였다.
문경원과 전준호는 베니스 비엔날레 한국관 출품작인 축지법과 비행술을 4채널로 재구성하여 아르세날레 공간에 소개하였다.
