Promise Park Workshop at CASA WABI and Shooting for New Project in Puerto Escondido, Mexico.
Moon Kyungwon's Promise Park workshop and the shooting of Jeon Joonho's new project Flower Bed Brightness took place at the CASA WABI Foundation inPuerto Escondido, Mexico. Promise Park is a collaborative project between Moon Kyungwon and the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM) that is ongoing since 2010. The workshop, which was led by Moon Kyungwon and Fumie Takahara of YCAM, was comprised of research on the ecological environment and types of plants in Puerto Escondido and an educational program involving the participation of the local residents. This project, which sets out from a hypothetical situation of the start of a new civilization in which the one of the present has come to an end, invokes past mistakes and historical errors of the previous civilization and present new life and values.
In addition, Jeon Joonho, together with a local filming team in Mexico, proceeded with the shooting of his new video sound installation project Flower Bed Brightnessaround Puerto Escondido and CASA WABI Foundation building.
카사와비 워크숍과 새 프로젝트 촬영

멕시코 푸에르토 에스콘디도에 위치한 카사와비 예술재단에서 문경원의 프라미스 파크 프로젝트의 워크숍과 전준호의 새 프로젝트 의 촬영이 이루어졌다. 프라미스 파크 프로젝트는 문경원과 야마구치 미디어 아트센터와 2010년부터 진행하고 있는 프로젝트이다. 이번 워크숍은 문경원과 야마구치 미디어 아트센터의 인터랩 연구원인 다카하라 후미에가 진행하여 푸에르토 에스콘디도 일대의 생태환경과 식물의 종류를 조사하고 그 지역민들과 함께하는 교육 프로그램으로 이루어졌다. 현재의 문명이 사라지고 새로운 문명이 시작한다는 가상적 상황을 토대로 시작된 이 프로젝트는 지난 인류의 과오와 점철된 역사의 오류를 환기시키고 새로운 삶과 가치관을 제시한다.
이와 더불어 전준호는 그의 새로운 비디오 사운드 설치 프로젝트인 의 영상 촬영을 멕시코 현지의 촬영팀과 함께 푸에르토 에스콘디도 일대와 카사와비 예술재단 건물에서 진행하였다.
