Kosuke Tsumura
The fashion designer Kosuke Tsumura was born in Saitama, Japan in 1959. He teaches fashion design, display, and stage art at Musashino Art University. He joined Miyake’s design studio in 1983, and won the Shiseido Encouragement Award and the 12th Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix’s New Designer Award in 1994. Ever since releasing his collection in Paris that same year, he has shown his work in Paris twice a year. In addition, he is involved in creative activities that have a contemporary, urban issue theme to them, and has established an urban survival fashion brand called FINAL HOME, while working in various fields such as architecture, design, and art.
